  • Responsible for the optimization/validation of the equipment to include selection of size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. of the HVAC equipment by reviewing the engineering plans, specifications, original estimate and proposal.
  • Responsible for calculating cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, labor and other construction-related activities to assist management in bidding on or determining price of project.
  • Responsible for bid coordination - keeping track of when projects are closing, and list of bidders for each project.
  • Support sales engineers and their customers by responding to technical support inquiries via telephone and e-mail, and by participating in customer visits and design days.
  • Supports sales team and develops preliminary submittals and/or final submittals as required. Responsible for compiling equipment selections and documentation for engineering review.
  • Maintains competitive advantage and stays abreast of industry trends, as well as optimizes expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials.
  • Responsible for preparing the correct equipment for order entry, verifying equipment pricing and revising coordination worksheet, as well as reconcile job costs.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas; OR two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Windows/ Microsoft Office product knowledge.
  • Familiarity with HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Base Pay Range - $65,600 - $86,400.Disclaimer: This "range" could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, or because of a system the employer uses to measure earnings by quantity or quality of production (so, for example, positions that may not have traditional salary ranges).
