Analytical Inventory Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and supporting the overall supply chain process. This position requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Duties



- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using ERP systems and warehouse management software.

- Conduct regular inventory audits and data collection to ensure data integrity.

- Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to optimize sourcing strategies and manage vendor relationships.

- Analyze demand planning data to forecast inventory needs effectively.

- Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to present inventory metrics and trends.

- Support e-commerce operations by ensuring timely order fulfillment and materials management.

- Implement process improvements for warehouse distribution efficiency and accuracy.

- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

- Utilize SQL for data mining and analysis related to inventory performance.

- Maintain compliance with safety standards while operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Qualifications



- Proven experience in inventory management or related fields such as retail management or supply chain operations.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

- Familiarity with demand planning, MRP, and procurement processes.

- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software.

- Experience with 3PL operations is a plus.

- Knowledge of merchandising principles and order fulfillment processes.

- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on building strong vendor relationships.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
