Our expectations
Reporting to the Manager, Transport Services, the Analyst, Transport Services is responsible for supporting the Transport team in achieving its mandate of driving operational excellence and continuous performance improvement across all regions and transport segments. The incumbent will contribute by supporting the day-to-day processes of the transport system management and other transport system-related processes within the Transport Services team, work closely with various teams to produce process flows, support training initiatives, analyze current transportation processes and recommend improvements, implement best practices, and act as a super-user of TMS, DispatchTrack, and other systems to support the operational teams. The incumbent will require strong analytical and process improvement skills, proficiency in operations systems and their applications, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
Your role
Developing and publishing performance dashboards for Transport, and providing analytical expertise to operational teams
Supporting inbound/outbound transportation teams, import, and last mile with reporting, analysis, and system support needs
Analyzing and predicting trends based on the dashboards for the Transport teams
Supporting the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system
Providing ongoing support for transport systems and tools, for both internal and external stakeholders
Managing the DispatchTrack (last mile) transportation management system nationwide, including training, configuration, and ensuring proper system usage
Identifying continuous improvement initiatives and recommending solutions to enhance operational performance and efficiency across OTM, DispatchTrack, and related applications
Contributing to the planning optimization process within OTM and DispatchTrack
Supplying operational data for budget planning, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis
Participating in the monthly accrual process for Transport teams
Collaborating closely with Finance teams to ensure visibility of transportation costs and leading efficiency initiatives
Conducting analyses for various transportation projects and initiatives, including RFPs and operational cost-cutting initiatives
Leading and coordinating transportation-related projects, both as a subject matter expert and project manager
The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in business management (operations, logistics, supply chain), engineering (industrial), or a related field
Two to three years of experience in the areas of transportation, logistics, supply chain, or distribution
MS Office - advanced knowledge of Excel
Analytical and communication skills; demonstrated ability to deliver functional analyses
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration at all levels of the organization
Track record of providing high-quality deliverables on time and under pressure as well as managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to use and/or learn technology solutions such as transportation management systems (TMSs), routing optimization, network modelling, carrier sourcing, and business analytics tools
Experience in the retail industry, large-scale national distributor, or transportation/logistics service provider (an asset)
Experience evolving in a context of transformational change (an asset)
Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English)
