The Total Fund Management Department In Total Fund Management ("TFM"), we are building the capabilities to enable a consistent framework for the long-term management of the firm\'s investment strategy. TFM consists of five groups: Active Investment Management, Exposure, Leverage, and Liquidity Management, Portfolio Design and Construction (\xe2\x80\x9cPD&C\xe2\x80\x9d), Applied Research & Models, and Strategy and Operations. In partnership with a diverse team of professionals, the PD&C group recommends the asset and factor allocations of the fund at all relevant horizons and build capabilities to deliver portfolio designs that help drive business and investment planning. We are currently recruiting for a twelve-month opportunity beginning September 2023. Students who have graduated in December 2022 or later from an undergraduate or advanced degree program across both STEM and Social Sciences & Humanities are encouraged to apply. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Contribute recommendations to the senior management team on total portfolio targets and asset allocation.
• Maintain and enhance existing models used for portfolio construction and analysis.
• Perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis and effectively communicate findings and recommendations
• Apply programming expertise, optimization, linear algebra or numerical analysis techniques to prototype portfolio analytics and quantitative models used in top-down portfolio management. Convey new information requirements through written specifications.
• Be mentored by experienced team members who will aid you to tap into your expertise and blend it with new skills learned on the job.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Strong programming and quantitative skills; demonstrable proficiency using Python.
• Interest in financial markets; basic understanding of modern portfolio theory, statistics and portfolio optimization techniques is desirable.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
• You excel at problem solving, attention to detail and ability to think critically and creatively.
• You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication skills.
