The analyst participates and works in collaboration with various department areas and stakeholders to document requirements, establish processes through workflow analysis, and change management processes to support Island Health's strategic plans, goals, and objectives.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline, plus a minimum of three (3) years' recent related experience in healthcare with a particular focus on healthcare information technology.Skills And Abilities

  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to do work with minimal supervision and has demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload in a self-directed manner
  • Change oriented and possesses an attitude of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workflow analysis and documentation, change management processes and project management principles and methodologies.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and business/clinical documentation skills coupled with the ability to write or edit high quality business documents.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • High degree of proficiency with standard MS Office suite and advanced features of office computer applications such as Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly functioning and fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of disciplines to maintain and foster good working relationships including tact, professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in dealing with a variety of work situations and all levels of the organization and externally.
  • Knowledge and practice in effective problem solving techniques and risk/mitigation strategies
  • Proven consistent ability to keep up with new technologies as they are introduced to the workplace
