Dream is looking Analyst, Land Costing

Dream's Calgary Land team is currently looking for an Analyst, Land Costing, to assist with the management of land development costs. They will also liaise between various internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in line with the budgeted cost estimates.

What will you do?
Here are some of the primary responsibilities that will fall under your role. We can chat more about these and more in person:

  • Month end processes/procedures including various reconciliations, cost allocations, cash flow
and project analysis/reporting;
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance and update of project job cost budgets;
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and on-going forecasting of project activities;
  • Maintain five year rolling Job Cost & Cash Forecast;
  • Tracking and monitoring internal and external job cost recoveries;
  • Monthly analysis of budget to actuals;
  • Preparation of inputs required for journal entries as required;
  • Entering new information on a weekly basis and generating monthly reports;
  • Maintaining and tracking HOA and Condo maintenance contracts
  • Set up and maintain project Purchase Orders and Invoices;
  • Attend regional land meeting and provide support as required; and
  • Assist in drafting of various documents
  • Other projects and duties as they come up
What type of experience do you have?

These are only some of the things we'd like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet:
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, construction or related field.
  • We ask that you have a college diploma or university degree in related field in Accounting,
Finance or Administration or related field.
  • Strong computer application skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with JD Edwards is considered an asset
  • Experience in land development and construction knowledge is required for this role.
  • Experience in costing and budgeting is essential.
