Job Description


:Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence and Director, Data Product, the Analyst, Business Intelligence will develop analysis and reports to understand the company's performance and areas of opportunity. They will work alongside the Data Product team to ensure robust pipelines. They will also develop models and tools to forecast and/or better understand gaming volumes. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.Key Accountabilities:

  • Under the general direction of the Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence and Director, Data Product, the Analyst, Business Intelligence will develop analysis and reports to understand the company's performance and areas of opportunity. They will work alongside the Data Product team to ensure robust pipelines. They will also develop models and tools to forecast and/or better understand gaming volumes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in data warehouse, including those related to ingestion, cloud platform, and transformations
  • Improve data quality through implementing checks using dbt and other technologies
  • Support leaders across the business with ad-hoc analytics requests
  • Cloud software development on Google Cloud Platform, including but not limited to, application development, containerization, CI/CD, devops, and integration
Education and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (business, computer science, etc.)
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in data analytics, including co-ops and internships
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts in support of analysis and reporting
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A curious analytical mind, strong attention to detail and quick learner, ability and willingness to work under a strictly regulated data management environment
