Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available for a long-term contract with great potential for permanent placement. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. Position is located in North York, Ontario.

Responsibilities

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Provide support during internal and external audits

- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

- Fulfill full-cycle A/P

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- NetSuite or SAP Concur experience an asset

- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- High attention to detail
