Job Description

Under the direction of the Foreman or Lead Hand, the responsibilities of the

Polisher

position include polishing aluminum and other material by applying appropriate polishing techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

Perform work standing for 8-10 hours per day and up to 4 to 5 days a week. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices must be used or help must be requested for anything over 35 pounds.

The hired candidates must demonstrate excellent quality control, ensuring aluminum boards and rails are polished correctly. The candidate must be able to interpret blue print drawings and follow other job specifications.

Duties, Equipment

Polish aluminum trailers to achieve a mirror-like, defect-free finish. Use specialized polishing tools and techniques with precision. Inspect work to ensure zero imperfections, maintaining our high-quality standards.

Education

Secondary school education or Other trades certificate or equivalent experience

Language

English

Experience

Proven experience in aluminum polishing or similar finishing roles.

Work Site Environment

Noisy, Hazardous material, Physically demanding.

Transportation/Travel Information:

Own transportation, Public transportation is not available.

Work Conditions

Work in a fast-paced environment with standard safety equipment. Repetitive motions, bending and twisting body.
