How do you fit in?

This position is part of the AltaGas team. Reporting to the Manager, Energy Exports, this role provides support to the exports logistical team for managing marine product movements of NGL and petroleum products. This person will require strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Your overall responsibility will be for day-to-day scheduling of NGLs on VLGCs (Very Large Gas Carriers).

You Will:

  • Work closely with all key stakeholders (e.g. export terminals, commercial team and operations) to ensure commercial commitments are met
  • Support/provide backup for all aspects of marine logistics/scheduling from loadport to discharge port
  • Monitor/report/forecast terminal inventory and product flows
  • Schedule product flows within internal reporting system
  • Assist traders in contract execution
  • Ensure contractual obligations including nomination procedures are met/followed and identify discrepancies
  • Effectively communicate and work with various third parties (e.g. refineries, customers, agents, brokers, terminal representatives, inspectors)
  • Provide information required for management decision making
  • Support accounting in review of all revenues/costs for energy export business
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
You Must Have:
  • Relevant university degree (Business, Economics or Supply-Chain Management). New-grads encouraged to apply.
  • 1-3 years' experience in energy industry, LPG/NGL preference
  • Previous rail experience an asset
  • Superior oral, written an interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Analytical ability to determine optimal business solution to opportunities and challenges
