WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS: The Airport Support Desk Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all customer flight-related matters in relation to the commercial flight program. This position is relied upon to deliver effective solutions to a host of customer-focused tasks. Airport\xe2\x80\x99s customer service-oriented work tends to be last minute, constantly changing, and an enjoyable challenge. This role will act as a liaison, provide information, and resolve any emerging problems that customer service agents and passengers might face with accuracy and efficiency. Overall responsibility is to ensure the effective operation of the company and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved. This role requires an energetic self-starter who is a committed business professional with proven experience that can deliver effective and timely results. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Support our bases and passengers during day-of-flight operations. This includes passenger support for reservation issues, managing regular and irregular operations (IROP) in real-time from a base and passenger operations perspective, and supporting our bases through any problems that may arise
Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to clients and passengers
Maintain highly accurate and well-documented performance records
Investigate performance deficiencies relating to the services provided to passengers, providing follow-up and feedback on issues
Contribute and assist with the implementation of operational procedures and policies as directed
Review operations notices on a regular basis and sign that they have been read until changes are included in the Operations Procedures Manual
Other duties as assigned by the company from time to time
The role will be required to work a variable schedule including holidays, weekends, and afternoon and night shifts as the operation dictates. The work environment is fast-paced, demanding, and ever-changing. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar role
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience using customer service-related systems (DCS/PSS)
Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
Ability to work in an open, dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative setting
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated sense of urgency and an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands while remaining calm under pressure
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and able to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues appropriately, and in a timely manner
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) would be an asset
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
Previous Airline Operations Centre or Airport Operations experience is preferred
Hospitality, customer service, and/or transportation experience would be an asset
