Ai Solutions Architect (part Time, Latin America)

Remote, CA, Canada

Job Description

AI Solutions Architect (part-time, Latin America)
Remote - Canada | Part-time

Our Client, an enthusiastic Microsoft services provider specializing in helping mature startups break into the enterprise market, is seeking an experienced

AI Solutions Architect

to join their team.

This is a casual part-time role requiring a commitment of up to

10-20 hours per week

. While this can be a side project alongside other engagements, candidates must prioritize client needs, attend meetings consistently, and demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven attitude. A casual "I'll get to this when I have time" mindset will not be a fit for this opportunity.

Based on performance and the company's growth, this role has strong potential to transition into a full-time leadership position. It's a long-term contract opportunity without an end date. The engagement is entirely remote. The candidate can be located

anywhere in Latin America

. Strong English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) are required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a pre-sales architect, collaborating with the sales team to assess client AI/ML environments, design target Azure AI architectures (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML, Fabric), estimate efforts, and prepare migration plans.
Lead as a solution architect, partnering with project managers, MLOps/DevOps engineers, and client teams to deliver AI projects that meet technical specifications, security standards, and client expectations.
Foster innovative problem-solving, troubleshoot complex AI/ML issues, and provide ongoing training on Responsible AI practices.
Act as a customer advocate by deeply understanding client goals, proposing practical AI options, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
Support the technical development of team members through continuous guidance and leadership.

Mandatory Requirements:

At least 2 projects related to architecting, developing, and deploying AI/ML or data-intensive solutions on Microsoft Azure.
A minimum of 7 years implementing technical solutions, designing architecture, and evaluating cloud environments.
Deep understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Responsible AI guidelines.
Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
Ability to operate effectively with incomplete or evolving requirements.
Strong client-facing experience and English communication skills.
Creative and analytical problem-solving mindset.

Nice-to-have:

Microsoft Certifications: DP-100, AI-102, AZ-305.
Other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS ML Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
Experience developing reusable AI migration tools, MLOps pipelines, or automation scripts (Terraform/Bicep).

Of Note:

You will be required to prove you own a laptop and basic software tools.
Completed background checks will be required before the start date if you are selected as a winning candidate.

While we strive to respond to all applicants, please understand that due to the high volume of applications we receive, providing individual feedback or responses to every candidate may not be feasible. Rest assured that your application will be carefully reviewed and considered. We appreciate your understanding and interest in joining our team.
