About Our Opportunity

As Resource Management Coordinator you will be responsible for a wide range of topics related to plant and animal health. This will include administration of acts and regulations and program development to protect and to sustain agriculture sectors through biosecurity, emergency preparedness, surveillance and traceability activities.

In this position you will provide advice and guidance in a wide range of agricultural topics and issues to governments and agriculture stakeholders. As the Coordinator you will be responsible to work collaboratively with industry partners and government(s) on national organizations, local groups and task teams.

About You

You will have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Agriculture plus six (6) years related experience or a Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Agriculture and four (4) years related experience.

As the successful candidate, you have extensive knowledge of the agriculture sector and understand the Department\xe2\x80\x99s goals and how they connect to industry. Knowledge of available agriculture services and programs will be an asset.

This position will also require you to have strong analytical thinking, action management, team leadership, initiative, effective communication, and partnership and relationship building skills.

This is a Term/Temporary/Casual employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2024. The appointment status (\xe2\x80\x98term\xe2\x80\x99, \xe2\x80\x98temporary\xe2\x80\x99 or \xe2\x80\x98casual\xe2\x80\x99) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade: PR 14

Salary Range: $2,640.65 - $3,215.50 Bi-Weekly
