After School Teacher

to join our team in Torbay.

Position Details:

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM (20 hours/week during the school year)

Full-time hours

during Easter Break, PD days and Summer Holidays

Location:

Torbay, NL - must have own transportation (no public transit available)

Start Date:

ASAP

Position Overview:

An After School Care Teacher is responsible for providing a high standard of care, supervision, and engaging play-based opportunities for children from Kindergarten to Grade 4. This role plays an important part in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged to explore their interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children in a safe and welcoming environment Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, social skills, and fun Ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere in line with our centre's philosophy Maintain communication with families and work collaboratively with other staff

Requirements:

Code of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check

(or willingness to obtain)

Valid First Aid Certification

(or willingness to obtain)

Certification from AECENL

(or proof of ongoing coursework) Online Module Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation
