RVEHSA independently plans and oversees the before and after school programs and child care for Royal Vale Elementary students.
ROYAL VALE ELEMENTARY HOME & SCHOOL is seeking a Program and Office Assistant for our Before and After School Programs in Montreal, QC.
About the Role
The Program and Office Assistant supports the smooth daily operation of the Before and After School Program at Royal Vale Elementary. This role combines administrative, organizational, and student-facing responsibilities to help ensure a safe, engaging, and efficient environment for students and staff alike.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)
PROGRAM AND STUDENT SUPPORT RELATED TASKS:
Ensure the physical and emotional safety and well-being of all students
Create, plan, and prepare age-appropriate activities.
Assist the Program Director on special projects for the Before and After school program
Fill in or assist (as need be) as a substitute After School Program Educator for a staff who may be ill or away
Administer first aid and complete incident or injury reports when required.
Take lead in emergency situation if the Program Director and Coordinator are unavailable or not in the building
Answer student questions and assisting them as needed
Oversee the process of ASP student departures at the end of the day
ADMINISTRATIVE AND ORGANIZATIONAL DUTIES
Organize documents and files
Organize equipment, updating inventory and ordering
Assist with absentee list and other various lists unsing the Amilia platform and google sheets
Track absentee lists and other program records.
Answer incoming phone calls and emails & relaying to the Program Director, Coordinator and finance staff when applicable
Assist the Program Director with planning staff meetings
Fill in for coordinator tasks should he/she is away
Update the RVEHSA website and assist with visual content creation
Help maintain clean and organized program spaces and supply areas.
Close the office at the end of the day (following a procedure)

Experience navigating the back end of the Amilia platform is a strong asset
QUALIFICATIONS
Past experience working at schools, camps, daycares
Past administrative work experience
CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Intermediate experience with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel required.
HOURS
Monday - Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m(hours may change slightly). Work hours may change on pedagogical days and when the school is closed.
This is a contract position from November 3, 2025 until June 30, 2026 with possible contract renewal for the following school year.*
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
