Energy Kidz After School Program is a small Daycare in Oromocto, NB. We are engaging, inclusive, rewarding, and our goal is to Foster and care for children in a supportive way through physical activity and creative games & art .
The hours will depend, but daily from 2-5:30 is needed and added hours for PD and storm days, those would be full days.
The Energy Kidz Staff is require to supervise children, take care of day to day needs of the children, follow or help create the games & activities set out by the team leader. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who is able to work under pressure. The staff will be responsible for planning activities, interacting with parents to ensure their child's experience is pleasurable, ensuring that safety and cleanliness of the program is maintained to meet Social Development Standards.
Responsibilities:
work directly with owner on building the program & Daily Activities
Maintain a candid working relationship with all team members
implementing day to day activities and setting children up for a successful day
Be knowledgeable and up to date on day to day child schedules
Create a positive working environment for the Team by motivating them to do their best every day in terms of assisting children, being organized.
Be committed to providing high-quality guest experience by ensuring that a positive attitude is met daily.
Use good judgment in all matters including maintaining a safe work environment, handling confidential information properly, communicating with others courteously, and maintaining social development standards.
Requirements
Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of varying ages.
Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus.
A passion for educating and mentoring young learners.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles and needs of students.
