The Strategic Procurement Department has a global mandate and is seeking new talent and leadership team members. The team is in a evolution mindset to take on a larger role by the category management, business practices and procurement governance to propose the best value-added solutions for the organization.

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, you will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to internal clients. You will define sourcing strategies and plans, develop an opportunity pipeline and perform spend analysis, while leveraging existing agreements to enable and facilitate procurement execution for industry clients. You will also be called upon to collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders in order to provide solutions with greater added value and promote compliance of procurement practices within the organization.

In addition to serving as a key representative for these practices, you will be responsible for assigned procurement categories and lead end-to-end procurement processes in accordance with governance rules, more specifically:

Develop and hone strategies for assigned procurement categories;

Conduct business market and risk analysis for portfolios and recommend procurement strategies;

Prepare tender documents with management teams, execute sourcing strategies, analyze and recommend the best sources of supply and take responsibility for contract negotiation;

Measure and document the savings for each file;

Work with the internal experts in charge of portfolios throughout the process;

Obtain buy-in of various parties for high-valued-added decisions for the organization.

Specific duties also include the following:

Monitor the sector, conduct research into new suppliers and propose new options that are likely to add value for the sectors served and the organization as a whole;

Stay abreast of best industry practices and benchmarks, provide insight into solutions for optimizing the designated portfolio, and attend industry conferences;

Analyze and evaluate suppliers contracted by the organization; conduct routine supplier business reviews;

Promote strategic procurement within the company and serve as a resource;

Ensure suppliers understand and adhere to corporate policies and guidelines;

Track performance indicators for the designated portfolio;

Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes, as well as the ongoing efficiency and quality of procurement services.

The toolbox we are looking for

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration or the equivalent,

Five to seven years of experience in strategic procurement and contract negotiations or the equivalent;

Experience in category management;

Real estate industry experience, construction and / or acquisition of CAPEX project an asset;

Ability to influence, navigate ambiguity and act with tact in delicate situations;

Professional, organized and able to multitask effectively;

Solution-oriented with a strong commitment to research and analysis;

Logical, quick-thinking and proven business acumen;

Commitment to ethics, transparency and integrity;

Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint; general comfort with computer applications and office equipment;

Excellent command of written and spoken French and English. Oral and/or written interactions with external partners based outside Quebec (service providers, law firms, peers, bankers, brokerage firms, credit analysis firms, credit agencies, etc.).
