Position: Business Advisor in Procurement
Location: Montreal
Salary: $40 to $44 per hour
Job Type: 6-month contract with the possibility of extension and permanence (there is currently a hiring freeze, hence the temporary duration is considered).
The Chief Procurement Officer is looking for a Business Advisor whose mission will be to become an essential partner in supporting the Facility Management/Real Estate department.
As a Business Advisor in Procurement, you will be responsible for monitoring, assisting in the development, and implementing procurement strategies, plans, and programs for the assigned cases, as well as executing tenders, renewals, and associated forms.
You will work closely with other members of the procurement team and stakeholders to reduce risks and optimize opportunities. Acting as an advisor, you will liaise with other departments, external companies, and government agencies regarding procurement matters under your responsibility. Your expertise and knowledge will help enhance product and service offerings.
Desired Profile:
- 3 years of required experience in preparing bids, renewals, and participating in service negotiations, experience in the Facility Management/Real Estate domain would be an additional asset
- Basic knowledge of contractual and legal aspects related to procurement
- Excellent communication skills as they have clients across Canada
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
- Actively participate in open discussions on topics of interest to the organization, demonstrating an interest in contributing to the company\'s development
- Experience in problem-solving related to procurement processes and supplier management
- Experience in developing procurement strategies, executing detailed cost analyses, and implementing improvements
- Experience in procurement with an integrated management system like Oracle would be an additional asset, demonstrating an ability to adapt to modern technologies
