Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Human Resources, this position is responsible for providing administration and support to the corporate Human Resources team and assisting with the implement ation and maintenance of corporate HR initiatives. Ensures adherence to the Company?s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian?s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work en vironment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Liaises with corporate executives and managers to support the full-cycle recruitment of specialized/professional positions (e.g., finance, accounting, marketing , technology services); defines recruitment plan; prepares and maintains internal and external postings, including social media; liaises with recruitment agencies when necessary; pre-screens candidates; interviews and conducts reference che cks; prepares offers letters; leads team member on-boarding; prepares HRIS and team member files
Oversees Occupational Health & Safety and Disability Management programs, including administration of WorkSafeBC.com, accident reporting, case management and related policy and procedural roll-outs; liaises with site HR and site management; collates statistics and reports findings
Prepares and maintains all Leave of Absence (LOA) documentation for head office team member s; escalates to Director, Human Resources when necessary
Assists in the development, implementation and support of various HR initiatives, including but not limited to team member engagement surveys, policy and procedure launches/revis ions, service awards and performance management tracking
Coordinates licensing and company requirements for Head Office team members, including Serving it Right, GPEB and criminal record checks; ensures the timeliness and accuracy of a pplications and renewals
Maintains HRIS data integrity (i.e., JDE EnterpriseOne); liaises with site HR to ensure data quality; audits data on a regular basis for accuracy and consistency; identifies and spearheads data clean-up initiat ives
Assists the maintenance of forms, policies and other HR documentation for the organization, including the HR P&P, org charts and various disclosure forms
Liaises and communicates professionally and effectively with all approp riate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management; team members and regulators
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutor y regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma; post secondary education in HR or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
HR designation an asset
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience with a solid background in full-cycle recruitment of professional and specialized positions (e.g., Finance and Information Technology)
Computer literacy in MS Office; JDE or other HRIS experience preferred; WorkSafeBC.com, Visio and Adobe In Design an asset
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
Regular office and c asino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
