How Development Technology & Solutions (DTS) supports EA

The teams we support span four continents, bringing together diverse individuals passionate about their craft from across the globe. What an Advanced Internal Communications Lead does

Reporting to the senior manager of learning & communications, a person in this role will work with Executives, Directors and other partners to initiate, recommend, develop and deliver strategic communications for a variety of audiences through different communications routes or forums. On any given day, the work involves working with people around the world in many different roles to understand and identify the communications needed to support our culture of knowledge sharing, community, and one-team collaboration. This role requires flexibility, creativity, innovation and taking the initiative to understand or learn more about our partners, practices and games to design scalable solutions that help EA and the people across our team.

  • You enjoy working in a team environment of constant change and are flexible in how you find solutions. You are comfortable navigating highly ambiguous requests and identifying the correct or best-fit solutions to suit.
  • You are an expert in your field and primary point of contact to support your partners for their communications needs.
  • You are creative and passionate in your ability to support different needs and scenarios, partners know you are interested in solutions that are flexible but appropriate to their needs even if they don't know best fit themselves
  • You are metric driven, able to identify improvements or recommend changes through data. You are effective at managing projects, both large and small, and you don't let the process block creative solutions or changing realities.
What you will do
  • Strategic communications planning appropriate to the need, and lead agreement through your knowledge of communications practices and expertise
  • Write and design internal employee communications large and small, accurately identifying time estimates, owners and deliverables accordingly
  • Work within a lean team of fellow communications and learning professionals, with separate areas of ownership and support one another on specific asks.
  • Balance the cultural needs of the organization with the business realities or strategy of our teams, finding a balance between the two and aligning partners accordingly.
  • Create high-quality effective communications to support identified change and project communications, which may include content management systems, internal email communications, targeted content delivered via employees preferred channels, high-impact presentations, or "ghost writing" for senior partners
What you will need to know to be successful
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a communications environment with short timelines with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Executives who are more focused on strategy than operational realities, bridging the gap when recommending strategic communications and drafting clear communications.
  • Strong knowledge in how people in large, diverse and globally dispersed organizations want to receive information in both formal and informal routes and content.
  • You will have experience in tools for content creation and internal communications. Examples include Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and common email marketing tools.
