Adult Program Coordinator, Full Time
South Branch, 5 Fermor Ave & West Portage Branch, 3550 Portage Ave Are you a health and fitness enthusiast? Passionate about helping individuals achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals? As part of the Y team, you will play an important role in the development and delivery of Adult Programs within two membership centres. As an enthusiastic, motivated and self-directed individual you will also coach and lead a team to ensure a positive member experience in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. Are you the right fit?

  • Able to develop, facilitate and instruct a variety of adult health and fitness programs
  • Able to teach a minimum of 5 group fitness classes a week
  • Implement action plans to support membership retention, acquisition and reconnection
  • Able to manage and monitor monthly budgets, including purchasing equipment and supplies
  • Experience in hiring, scheduling, supervising and coaching staff
  • Monitor staff certifications, program statistics, create reports and database management
What else do you need?
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in program delivery
  • 1 – 2 years of experience leading a team
  • Superior customer service skills and proven
leadership abilities
  • Strong time management, administration,
organization and problem-solving skills
  • Fully immunized against COVID-19 or
valid exemption
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Certified Group Fitness Instructor through
YMCA, MFC or equivalent ASSETS
  • Post-secondary education in Recreation,
Kinesiology, or related area
  • National Coaching Certification Program
(NCCP), Personal Training Certification,
TRX Certification
