Job Description

The

Admissions Officer

plays a key role in driving new student enrollment and supporting the growth and success of CCATCM. This role is responsible for recruitment, admissions, marketing initiatives, enrollment management, and assisting with student services.

Primary Responsibilities



Student Recruitment and Enrollment

Attract, enroll, and recruit new students to meet or exceed enrollment targets for each intake. Develop and execute recruitment strategies and promotional activities, including advertising, webinars, open houses, and public outreach. Ensure all promotional materials align with CCATCM policies and receive approval prior to distribution. This is primarily a sales/service role.

Admissions Process Management

Oversee the entire enrollment process: lead generation, inquiry follow-up, application assistance, financial aid advising, and maintaining accurate student records. Ensure that all new student files are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education requirements. Meet with students to assess eligibility and ensure admission criteria are met.

Marketing and Outreach

Manage and attend marketing seminars, open house events (virtual and in-person), conferences, and trade shows. Update and maintain the College's website and social media accounts weekly or daily. Develop, edit, and distribute marketing materials. Represent the College at promotional events and build relationships with employment agencies, professional associations, and educational partners.

Student File and Record Management

Ensure accurate and complete maintenance of student files and enrollment documents. Work closely with directors and staff to ensure compliance with provincial educational standards.

Additional Responsibilities

Support CCATCM Management in maintaining strong relationships with the Department of Advanced Education and related organizations. Assist in daily college operations, financial processes (invoicing and payments), and the recruitment of new renters for college facilities. Help manage clinic marketing and new patient recruitment for student and professional clinics. Attend trade shows and promotional events to represent the College and clinics. Provide support with IT and technical equipment management. Present ideas to improve operations and student experience.

Secondary Responsibilities



Attend and assist in organizing college events, seminars, and orientations. Support students in applying for tuition funding and creating personalized payment plans. Assist with the development and implementation of new programs and services to increase revenue. Coordinate and register for promotional events and liaise with employment and educational organizations for recruitment purposes.

Qualifications



Experience in student recruitment, admissions, and marketing (preferably in the post-secondary education sector). Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of marketing strategies, social media management, and event coordination. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education standards is an asset. Experience working with student loan agencies and funding bodies is an advantage.
