Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Admission Counselor to join our team. This role is essential in guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing them with valuable information about our programs, and helping them make informed decisions about their educational journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong public speaking skills and a passion for education, as well as experience in recruiting or teaching.

Duties

Conduct presentations and information sessions to prospective students and their families, showcasing the benefits of our institution. Provide personalized counseling to applicants, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the admission process. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless admission experience for prospective students. Utilize Ellucian software to manage applicant data and track admissions progress effectively. Participate in recruitment events, college fairs, and community outreach programs to promote our institution. Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other educational entities to enhance recruitment efforts. Assist in the creation of marketing materials that highlight academic programs and campus life.

Experience

Proven experience in public speaking or presenting information effectively to diverse audiences. Familiarity with Ellucian or similar student information systems is preferred. Background in recruiting or teaching is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to engage and inspire students. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Pay: $17.20-$29.49 per hour
