Job Summary
A Brief Overview
This position reports to an Enrolment Manager or Director within the Undergraduate Admission and Recruitment Office. This position evaluates admission and scholarship applications for prospective students and makes admission decisions and recommendations. This position provides advice and guidance to applicants, schools, students, and families on admission qualifications, policies, program details, and financial assistance programs. This position identifies target markets for enrollment objectives and liaises with alumni network to encourage student recruitment. This position prepares statistical reports and interprets the results of recruiting trends, opportunities or potential issues.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work variable hours on a regular basis, including evenings and weekends. In addition, travel is an inherent part of the position. This position is subject to the Averaging and Travel Time Credit provisions of the USW Local 2010 Collective Agreement.

What you will do
Evaluates admission and scholarship applications for prospective students and makes admission decisions and recommendations.
Provides advice and guidance to applicants, schools, students, and families on admission qualifications, policies, program details, and financial assistance programs.
Identifies target markets for enrollment objectives and liaises with alumni network to encourage student recruitment.
Participates in information sessions and student interviews in a variety of locales.
Prepares targeted communications and presentations to support student recruitment and enrollment.
Prepares statistical reports and interprets the results of recruiting trends, opportunities or potential issues.
Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit. Required Education
Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. Required Experience
More than 2 years and up to and including 3 years of experience.
Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset.
Experience developing, coordinating and producing promotional and marketing material considered an asset.
Experience in data, trend analysis and reporting considered an asset.
Experience in managing/developing strategic communication plans considered an asset.
Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset.
Experience in writing, interviewing, reviewing, editing and/or proofreading internal and/or external communications and documents considered an asset (e.g., social media, policy manuals, newsletters, handbooks, legal documents, forms/templates, blogs, training/reference materials, technical documents, webinars, etc.).
Experience planning, coordinating and/or managing events or promotions considered an asset.
Experience with assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms and potential digital business opportunities considered an asset (e.g., social media, etc.).
Experience with providing administrative support considered an asset (e.g., document editing, proofing, formatting and production, data entry, scheduling/coordinating meetings and/or travel arrangements, receiving/relaying messages, etc.).
Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset.
Experience working in a comparable client-focused environment considered an asset
Experience advising students considered an asset.
Experience working with diverse populations/equity deserving groups considered an asset. Required Licenses and Certifications
G Driver's Licence required.
Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
