Remedial teacher - Pigiurvik School
Under the supervision of the Director of School Operations, the Administration Technician performs various tasks related to the administration of the teachers' and managers' files. Some responsibilities include:
FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Conducting audit for the school board and the government (MEES);
Maintaining up to date calendar days for every school;
Administrating all school related electronic files;
Monitoring and work on report cards;
Administrating the reception and validation of staffing as per school organization;
Evaluating the request for tutoring services and updating the files and payments;
Informing Payroll of any changes in an employee file;
Administer the payment of all types of invoices.
Maintaining and updating a variety of employee lists including the list of teachers per school and support staff;
Answering any questions concerning the school organizations, tutoring, and elder payments;
Performing any other related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma (DEC) in administration or a diploma or attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the Board.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough understanding of GPI and GRICS system;
Understanding of MS Access;
Fluency in at least two of the working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English);
Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
Independent, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and discretion;
Knowledge of Nunavik and Inuit culture (asset).
WORK SCHEDULE:
35 hours / week from Monday to Friday.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211: from $24.21 to $32.32 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
