Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of the Forensic Adolescent Program (FAP), the Administrative Support V carries the lead responsibility for all administrative aspects of services offered at FAP, the Calgary Diversion Service (Salvation Army Center of Hope) and the Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) Community Recovery Homes. This position will involve some travel between sites. The incumbent supports members of the leadership team, including maintaining schedules, arranging meetings and tracking action items. The incumbent monitors spending of the above-noted programs, assists other administrative staff with payroll time entry, provides support to the recruitment process, reviews staff expense claim submissions, is the primary IT contact, ensures appropriate administrative staff coverage, assists with administrative staff hiring, assists with documentation for onboarding and terminations and provides supervision to administrative staff. The AS V completes their work with minimal guidance, using their enhanced skills to perform these specialized duties. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum five years of advanced office administration experience. Minimum three to five years of administration experience in a community-based health program. Minimum three to five years of experience directing the work of an admin support team. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team. Excellent knowledge base and experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs. Ability to work with considerable independence and self-direct work, where policy and procedure has been outlined. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience completing detail-oriented work. Experience communicating with community partners. Experience organizing and scheduling staff meetings, including preparation of agendas, recording and distribution of minutes and follow-up with action items.

Preferred Qualifications:

Administration experience in a community-based addiction and mental health program. Experience providing supervision to administrative staff. Experience with Connect Care. Experience with ESP and e-People payroll systems.
