Your Opportunity:This is your exciting opportunity to join the HIM Chart Correction team! HIM Chart Correction is a provincial team that is responsible for ensuring health information integrity through the investigation, facilitation, and remediation of health information revisions in support of patient care and safety. Under the direction of the Provincial Manager, HIM Chart Correction, this position specializes in the investigation, facilitation, and remediation of Connect Care chart correction cases to support patient care and safety through informed clinical decision making. This position provides information management and business process expertise as it relates to Alberta Health Services' (AHS) Registries, Alberta Health (AH) Registries, AHS Registration and Clinical Information Systems (CIS), AHS Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), data repositories, and Alberta Netcare Portal. This role is responsible for investigating data integrity issues through Connect Care system generated work queues, reports, In Basket requests, tasks, as well as Outlook emails, ServiceNow, and HIM Service Portal. HIM Chart Correction Administrative Support staff will conduct a thorough analysis based on provincial standards to ensure integrity of the information, remediation of the issue and/or follow-up. Other responsibilities include providing training to new AS V staff, assisting in updating and maintaining HIM Chart Correction guidelines, standards and workflows as well as attending meetings and work groups.Description:As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 education or equivalent in business training required. Medical terminology certificate of completion required. Post secondary education in business or health related field applicable to the position required. Minimum 5 years' experience within the past 7 years in a Registration, Switchboard and Patient Information department, Health Information Records Management department or other Data Integrity department. Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Experience with ADT and CIS systems including Connect Care. Experience with Alberta Netcare Portal, Person Directory and AHS Client Registry. Strong understanding of health information integrity processes and procedures. Advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Excellent attention to detail. eHealth Competency (advanced). Ability to problem solve independently. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize when dealing with competing demands. Demonstrated initiative to recommend/develop business processes/procedures. Typing speed of 40 wpm. Preferred Qualifications:Screen/Data Capture technology. Adobe Acrobat PRO. Quanum. ServiceNow. SharePoint. HIM Service Portal.
