Your Opportunity:

You are a highly motivated, tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to making a difference in the Alberta Health Services and health care system. You are detail-oriented, a good communicator, efficient and able to work effectively with a large team. You are comfortable dealing with frequent interruptions, communicating with clinicians, overnight travel and carrying out test scripts on a computer. In the role of Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) Tester in Alberta Health Services Information Technology (IT), you will be joining the technology program team supporting Connect Care, an exciting multi-year initiative that will transform the delivery of healthcare for all Albertans through the implementation of a provincial clinical information system. Your role as the Administrative Support III - Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) Tester supports the Connect Care: Non-Medical devices project. As part of a large team of testers, you are responsible for testing many computers, printers and peripheral devices that will be used for Connect Care and will be tasked to run detailed test scripts in the Clinical Information System. You will need to work with clinicians to understand the particular function of devices in their associated care settings/scenarios, confirm the right scripts for the area, and then follow step-by-step instructions in order to provide a pass/fail result with comments. You will be responsible for basic troubleshooting for test failures and any logging failures in detail to assist in the resolution of issues. This role will require provincial travel in Lethbridge and South Zone.
