Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented individual to join our Opioid Dependency Program (ODP) team at the Northern Addictions Centre in Grande Prairie, including our new Narcotics Transition Service (NTS). NTS offers an alternative to those who have not been able to initiate or stabilize on conventional medications. The Administrative Support III position is a key member of our team providing holistic support to help people experiencing opioid dependence. This position will be in contact with adults who are on a journey to recovery from addiction. In addition to providing reception services, the position provides a wide range of multidisciplinary team clerical support, including filing and photocopying, booking appointments, chart management, data entry, supporting the program\'s physicians, coordinating with community pharmacies and labs, and anticipating the needs and demands of the program and its clients. Other administrative duties to support programs and services within the Northern Addictions Centre are required and completed with a high level of independence but also interdependent within a larger team environment. The city of Grande Prairie is in northwest Alberta and has something for everyone! Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

Formal medical office administration from a recognized post-secondary institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered acceptable. Minimum 3 years of related experience working in an addiction and mental health environment. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. Public relations skills are essential. Knowledge of computer technology and application, including website administration, office or business applications, databases ( ePeople, Netcare, Connect Care or other), and Microsoft Office Suites. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work well within a team environment, both locally and across multiple sites/programs. Ability to prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times. Ability to adhere to strict organizational policies, procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines. Preferred Qualifications:

Mindfulness about cultural and gender diversity and positive regard towards clients. Experience with multicultural recovery pathways. Knowledge of an Indigenous language and culture is an asset. Knowledge of systemic issues such as poverty and stigma. Non-violent crisis intervention. Mental Health First Aid.
