Job Summary
The Administrative Officer IA (Credentialing Coordinator) reports directly to the Regional Director, Medical Services and is responsible for a range of advanced confidential administration functions related to credentialing/privileging all physicians within Eastern Health.

The Administrative Officer I will be the first point of contact with all physicians in the Credentialing/Privileging process and will be responsible for communication with physicians on credentialing documentation required for timely completion, reviewing documentation received for completion and accuracy, and regular follow up regarding incomplete documentation and the impact this may have. The Administrative Officer IA participates in the management and maintenance of information in Intellicred, the credentials/privileges system, and utilizes Intellicred to run reports and status of credentials. The Administrative Officer I is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to the Regional Director, liaises with internal and external stakeholders daily, and completes work based on applicable Bylaws and standard operating procedures.

The Administrative Officer I is responsible for presenting files for quality review prior to presentation at the Credentials Committee, presentation of the files to the Credentials Committee, preparing minutes for the Committee to be shared with the Board of Trustees, and preparing correspondence and files for CEO approval based on outcomes of Credentials Committee. Other duties as required.

Job Qualifications

Education
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program with a concentration in Human Resources is required.

Experience
A minimum of five years' experience within the last seven in a progressively responsible administrative role, including experience in Recruitment and Onboarding, is required.
Experience in Credentialling is an asset.

Proficiency in MS Office, Internet and various other computer applications.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain successful working relationships.

Ability to handle multiple projects while under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.

A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
