Job Summary As part of a team in the Human Resources Employee Services Department - Compensation and Benefits, your accountabilities will be to ensure the effective coordination and implementation of the compensation and benefits function. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for handling Compensation and Benefits inquiries from Eastern Health\'s employees, the public, insurance providers, and other stakeholders, as well as implementing changes related to employees\' salary, pension, health insurance, benefits, seniority, leaves, terminations, new hires, etc. Project work and quality improvement activities are also integral components of the work.

Regularly performs fine finger/precision computer work requiring steadiness and accurate movement/control. Visual and hearing concentration is required to observe, consult with staff, to work on documents or to listen to staff/public on the telephone or in person.
Job Qualifications
Education Graduation from High School or equivalent. Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program (HR Concentration preferred). Courses and proficiency in MS Office, Internet and various other computer applications are required. Experience in HR Technology, database management would be an asset.
Experience A minimum of three years\' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required. Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Knowledge of organizational internal/external contacts at the Executive level. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and be a critical thinker. Ability to manage multiple projects, under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines.
Other A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
