Job Summary
The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education (ECPS) is the largest academic unit in the Faculty of Education, with five distinct graduate programs and contributes to the Faculty\xe2\x80\x99s undergraduate/BEd programs. The Department has 50+ full-time faculty, 15 administrative/research staff, and hires approximately 100 sessional lecturers/adjunct professors and 70 GTAs each year. ECPS has over 500 graduate students and attracts over 3500 undergraduate enrolments per year.
The Psychological Services and Counselling Training Centre (PSCTC) is a university-based setting for psychological clinical training and research, with the administrative oversight and support provided by ECPS.
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the complex coordination and efficient administration, organization and operation of ECPS and PSCTC. The incumbent develops operational policies, procedures and administrative plans, and coordinates the Department\xe2\x80\x99s day-to-day administration and operation, including managing psychological clinical training support, human resource processing (non-tenure faculty, staff, and student employees), facilities and equipment, and other administrative functions of ECPS and PSCTC. The incumbent takes initiative in establishing innovative practices and processes in support of the Department\xe2\x80\x99s strategic priorities and achieving academic excellence in teaching, learning and research. This position provides advice to the Department\xe2\x80\x99s senior leadership on finance, human resources, resource allocation, operations and implementation of strategic plans.
Organizational Status
Reports to the Department\xe2\x80\x99s Administrative Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Academic Director of PSCTC (faculty member). Works closely with faculty, clinical supervisors, students, administrative support staff. Interacts with Dean\xe2\x80\x99s Office of the Faculty of Education, Faculty Relations, Human Resources, Building Operations, IT, SRS and other administrative units as necessary across campus.
