Job Description

A well-established and growing CPA firm providing services to individuals, small businesses, and corporations across various industries is looking for a highly motivated Administrative & Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team.

Administrative Duties

Greet clients and respond to phone calls and emails in a professional manner Maintain client files (electronic and paper), organize documents, and assist with data entry Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and support the day-to-day operations of the office Assist with scanning, photocopying, filing, and other general office tasks Support the professional staff with administrative projects as needed
Bookkeeping Duties

Perform bookkeeping for small business and individual clients Prepare and post journal entries, including accounts receivable and accounts payable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with payroll-related reconciliations Prepare government remittances and filings (under supervision), including: GST/PST returns Payroll remittances T-slips and other basic tax-related filings Education: Office administration diploma and/or accounting/bookkeeping diploma/courses preferred Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of related administrative and/or bookkeeping experience is an asset Experience in a public practice or small office environment is an asset, but not required Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) Chinese language skills are an asset (Mandarin or Cantonese) Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with bookkeeping using QuickBooks or other software is an asset. Excellent work ethic and strong attention to detail Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
