Administrative Assistant/NSC
to join our Agrifoods Transportation Team based in Saskatoon. The Administrative Assistant/NSC is responsible for meeting Saskatchewan National Safety Code (NSC) requirements related to training, data maintenance, compiling reports, office organization, research and project work as needed. This is a very important part of the Agrifoods Transportation Team, will report to the Director of Transportation and provide support and assistance to the Operations Manager and other members of the on-site leadership team.

Experience
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience working in an administrative role
You have a Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or relevant discipline
You have knowledge of general office functions including filing systems, reporting, and responding to coworkers
You have hands on experience with completing new hire orientation and coordinating training activities with others, including tracking safety certifications
Proficiency with MS-Excel and other MS products.

Things you will do...
Maintain NSC filing systems and related documents for drivers, equipment and maintenance while ensuring accuracy
Complete new driver orientations including required paperwork for payroll
Compiling reports, orientation/safety review, data maintenance, office organization, research, and project work as needed
Assist with any/all office and safety functions
Participate in and take on related tasks of the Health and Safety Committee
Forward driver requests and inquires regarding benefits and payroll

You may occasionally need to work overtime to complete deadlines

Detailed Description of Duties:
Track, organize and maintain NSC filing and storage systems in the office, including invoicing, inspections (DVIRs), and maintenance to ensure completion and compliance with NSC requirements
Copy and file DVIR's ensuring they are being handed in by all drivers
Working with management and staff to assist with benefit reconciliation, coordinate training time (fall protection, First-Aid etc.) for employees and ensure they arrive on time
Auditing of drivers logs compared to timecards, tracking errors and working with lead hands and drivers to resolve errors.
Create, Edit and update spreadsheets and word documents
Track and file invoicing into individual files by units ensuring accuracy, proper following of our outlined NSC Standards
Participate in the Safety Committee, attending meetings and assisting with action items
Answer the main phone line, scanning, filing, mail, couriers, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence, including regular mail and email

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
