Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey\xe2\x80\x99s Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.The Operational Services department is responsible for providing a broad range of services such as material movement, security, catering, power, air transportation, facility management, people movement and contract management.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant II to join our Operational Services department in St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, NL. This is a permanent position. The role includes administration assistance on daily basis. This can involve scheduling/organizing meetings, travel (domestic & international), visa requirements, vacation scheduling, filing, typing, mail/file distribution, invoice management, maintain contact with all offsite offices, liaise with head office and other business locations.Additionally, in this position, you will:

  • Communicates with contacts at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Provides and obtains information from other managers and directors or outside representatives.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls, letters, and/or visitors, answering routine questions and furnishing information to save manager\'s time.
  • Schedules appointments and coordinates arrangements for meetings and conferences and travel arrangements (flights, car rentals, hotel bookings).
  • Organizes and maintains files of immediate supervisor\'s correspondence and records, following up on pending matters.
  • Drafts and type routine letters and memoranda from specific instructions.
  • Prepares regular correspondences, reports, and presentations.
  • Produces a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations using the appropriate software for word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets.
  • Processes invoices for payment into the SAP system and maintains invoice filing system. Ensures prompt payment to suppliers with agreed upon timelines. Investigate and resolve any issues arising.
  • Works independently within specific scope as determined by the immediate supervisor.
  • Assists in the budget process by consolidating information and monitoring spend throughout the year.
About YouEducation:
  • A diploma in office administration is required.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role.
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
