Job Summary
An Administrative Assistant with our Claims Department in Toronto is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the department's Lawyers and Claims Examiners. This new position is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.
Job ResponsibilitiesPreparing routine documentation and correspondence for a group of Claims Examiners and Lawyers
Creating reports and tracking departmental data
Handling confidential information with significant discretion and judgment
Sending out and tracking couriers and express post packages
Photocopying, printing and scanning documents.
Closing Claim files as per the closing procedures.
Assisting Claims Examiners with administrative support as required
Incoming and Outgoing mail
Answering all incoming Claims calls
Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:1-3 years of administrative experience
Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effectively interacts within a team setting
Resourceful nature
Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) advanced knowledge of Excel is required
Salary Range - 45,000 to 50,000 annually
