Supports the efforts of the Dart sales personnel by supporting and making decisions on pricing, sales support, and service issues within the context of Dart policies, procedures, and philosophy

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Work with Dart field sales personnel involving sales requests for competitive pricing, contract and bid pricing, and other product pricing issues
  • Provide administrative oversight and issue resolution to Strategic, National and Retail, and Foodservice accounts as assigned
  • Analyze information provided by Dart field sales personnel pertaining to competitive products, competitive prices, and related terms and conditions of sale
  • Make decisions concerning customer pricing, shipping requirements, terms and conditions of sales, and contract and bid pricing, using a strong understanding of market conditions, Dart philosophy, and Dart policies in the decision-making process
  • Communicate and explain pricing decisions and company pricing policies as well as related terms and conditions of sale to Dart field sales personnel and, on occasion, directly to customers, providing supporting rationale where appropriate
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with the sales force and other departments
  • Evaluate and make decisions on field sales requests regarding company expenditures relating to distributor promotional and marketing activities, distributor trade show participation, and distributor requests for advertising support
  • Assist customers by resolving service-related issues beyond the authority of Dart customer service representatives, and handle other service issues when field sales personnel are unavailable and/or immediate action is required
  • Communicate with Dart field sales personnel, internal departments, and customers, to resolve business matters
  • Work with market price increases developing strategies to negotiate the best result for the business while minimizing negative customer experiences
  • Receive field service reports from Dart field sales personnel relating to product quality and/or customer service. Gather and analyze reported information, and work sales personnel to develop the optimal mutually acceptable solution for both the customer and Dart
  • Author and send customers price quotations, price contracts, and general customer service correspondence relating to pricing and general sales and service matters in English
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve a variety of issues including customer payment issues, logistics issues, and others.
  • Provide administrative sales and service support responding to customer and Dart sales force requests in a timely fashion
  • Provide quotations, product information, and other related information using customer-provided documentation
  • Help create a positive work environment and be a booster of company policy, procedures, and philosophy including professional communication with all Dart employees
  • Document pricing and other decisions according to department procedures
  • May travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver\'s license and passport


Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal Account Manager candidate must possess all of the following:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or international equivalent (an emphasis in Business or related field of study preferred)
  • Successfully meets performance expectations consistently in all job responsibilities and functions in the Associate International Account Manager role
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
  • Ability to complete work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to use independent judgement and make decisions
  • Requires verbal and written fluency in English
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with other departments to gather and provide information
  • Proven analytical problem solver
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create professional reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Ability to learn relevant computer software used by the department


Preferred Skills and Qualifications for an Account Manager:

  • Two (2) years of business-to-business experience, preferred
  • Verbal fluency in French, preferred
