Department Overview

TD Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to North American businesses. Our broad range of products and services allows us to meet the needs of our clients in every sector, providing customized solutions to build a strategy that\'s right for them now, and in the future. TDEF is a leasing and finance group offering financing solutions for our customers\' equipment needs. We partner with all levels of the Commercial and Corporate Banks to bring additional product offerings and deepen existing TD relationships. We also work independently across the mid-market to identify direct opportunities and bring new customers to the bank.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Commerce/Business.
  • Relevant sales and/or customer relationship experience.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, team-driven environment.
  • Superior Business development skills.
  • Possesses considerable initiative and ability to build and nourish relationships.
Preferred skills:
  • 2+ years of related experience in Equipment Finance and/or Commercial Banking.
  • CFA, CA, CMA or MBA - Finance Program.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and taxation

As an Account Manager, this role will allow you to apply your skills in a collaborative, team-driven environment and learn all aspects of our business. You will assume responsibility for new business development, credit analysis, developing/implementing marketing solicitation programs, providing top-end customer service and assist with various administration duties.
  • New Business development: Strategic Account Planning, Cold calling, Prospecting, Attending industry events.
  • Supporting the Commercial and/or Corporate Bank on shared accounts and new prospective clients.
  • Building an internal network, including Sales, Credit, Operations and Administrative.
  • Develop and implement direct solicitation and other marketing strategies to attain and surpass objectives.
  • Support Account Executives and other team members achieve personal and team targets.
  • Prepare and analyze credit applications.
  • Assist in annual credit reviews.
Provide wing-to-wing support on live transactions, including Origination, Credit Approval, Pricing, Documentation, Funding and Customer Service.
