The Milner Group, a locally owned Nanaimo company, is seeking a motivated individual needed for the role of a fulltime Administration and Dispatch support. The successful individual must be accurate, have strong attention to detail, communicate well, and have good organizational skills. In addition, this individual should have an analytical mind, and always be looking for improvements and efficiencies. Please note this is a very fast-paced environment.
Salary:
$50k - $65k/year - based on experience
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Administration:
Order entry and payment entry for calls taken for all companies
Entry, scheduling and tracking all construction rentals
Preparing envelopes for items that need mailing
Accounting reconciliations as required
Monitor supply levels and order office supplies for office, scale house and shop supplies once per week
Answer phones, utilizing multiple phone line system
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Dispatch:
Assist with scheduling and dispatching of trucks and other company assets as required
Coordinate with Dispatch inbound call request from internal department leads & managers
Coordinate site fueling
Pit activity coordination as required
Assist in coordinating hired trucks
Review completed jobs and report as needed
Relive dispatcher for breaks & vacations
Use of two-way radio for dispatching
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years' experience in a customer service role
* 1-3 years experience short-haul truck dispatching, preferred
