Aviva is looking for our next innovative leader! Join our Technical Pricing team as a Manager and drive innovation in our $4B Personal Insurance business. You'll develop groundbreaking indication models, collaborate with actuarial experts, and challenge the status quo to enhance accuracy. Lead and mentor your team, handle impactful projects, and present your findings to senior management. This role offers ample opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
What you'll do:Build and design best-in-class rate monitoring report.
Identify emerging trends, evaluate key performance indicators to assess company's progress toward its goals, summarize findings and propose recommendations to senior management through impactful presentations.
Leverage data analytics to provide timely, actionable insights that address management inquiries and support daily decision-making.
Identify opportunities to streamline the reporting process and implement best practices for efficiency.
Effectively manage projects and monthly reporting, overseeing technical design, scope, timelines, communications and performing reviews to ensure accuracy.
Evaluate and monitor model performance using statistical metrics and validation technique.
Collaborate with Street Pricing and Data Science to determine shared assumptions and improve Technical Pricing models.
Train and coach junior staff on the fundamentals and technical aspects as well as best practices around process management.
Be actively involved in the actuarial community at Aviva.
What you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math or Statistics or a related field.
ACAS Designation
Minimum of 6 years of P&C work experience.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor junior actuaries.
Curiosity and passion for improving on status quo.
Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner.
Ability to lead projects and manage timetables and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Python, and/or SAS. Knowledge of Qlik is an asset.
Experience with data science models, including development, validation, or interpretation, is considered an asset.
