Myvic Property Management currently oversees a diverse portfolio of retail, multifamily, townhouse and single-family projects. We are looking for a Accounts Receivable/Office Assistant for various Properties in and around Edmonton. Properties include high end newly built facilities and matured residential buildings. POSITION SUMMARY The right candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions and ad hoc office tasks and projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately keep track of the bookkeeping, rent collection, EFT payments for our properties.
  • Post rent charges, rent collected, and invoices into Yardi accounting software
  • Coordinate maintenance issues for each assigned property
  • Perform bank runs and bank deposits
  • Assist in the set up of new properties including set up of monthly property tax payments, online utilities accounts, etc.
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Answers telephone inquiries and emails regarding suites, tenant concerns, maintenance requests, etc
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Over three (3) years experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role
  • Over three (3) years experience in an office admin role
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have a good understanding of the English language. This includes both written and verbal communication skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Highly organized with excellent problem solving and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Comfortable with basic accounting principles, handling cash;

  • Must be a Resident of Canada or possess the appropriate documentation to legally work in Canada. All documentation must be current.
