FOOD INDUSTRY COMPANY LOOKING FOR AN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE REPRESENTATIVE
We are a busy B2B Food Production company currently looking for an
Accounts Receivable Representative
to join our growing team based in Mississauga, Ontario. In this position the candidate is responsible for managing the incoming payments to ensure the company gets paid, as well as administrative support such as coordinating daily order logistics and processing purchase orders. Ability to develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with all employees, customers and vendors is a key requirement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Account Servicing Support:
Processing daily Purchase Orders and Invoices.
Responding to customer inquiries through email and on the telephone.
Managing communication between customers and vendors as required.
Managing calendar of incoming POs and order desk email responses.
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
Managing incoming payments to ensure that the company gets paid on time
Key responsibilities include generating and sending invoices, tracking accounts, reconciling discrepancies, and contacting clients about outstanding balances.
Works with customers in assigned customer portfolio in the collection follow up and allocate payments
Facilitate customer payments by providing necessary information and documentation required by the customer
Resolves customer A/R differences working with the appropriate internal teams
Provides reports on assigned portfolio as requested
Monitor customer accounts details for non-payments, delayed payments and exercise due diligence in evaluating ability/intent to pay from customers
Processing and recording transactions i.e. cash receipts, credits, bank deposits, etc.
Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
Working with the Sales department to review accounts and client payment and credit history to develop new or better repayment terms.
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
Assist with company and customers audits
Perform other administrative duties of the finance department. All other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce
Post Secondary Education Preferred, Special in Bachelor of Commerce.
Prefer for work experience in mid sized food manufacturing company
Work Experience
Sales & Customer Service: 1 Year
Basic Accounting background (Billing and AR) - Minimum 1 year
Experience in mid-sized food manufacturing company - Minimum 1 year
Skills and Knowledge:
Exceptional interpersonal & customer service skills and ability to work cohesively with a team.
Strong Computer Skills required. (Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, Outlook calendar management)
Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently.
Ability to take initiative to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Required to work some weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
