We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, familiarity with various financial software, and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate record-keeping.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP standards.
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday for data entry and reporting.
Assist in payroll management and benefits administration using systems like ADP or Paychex.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
Strong understanding of financial concepts, double-entry bookkeeping, and corporate accounting practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and financial software applications (Workday, UltiPro).
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
