Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to become an essential part of a company\'s rapidly growing team. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, your duties will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. What you get to do every day

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

- Execute full-cycle A/P

- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Carry out additional tasks as assigned

- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Degree, diploma or relevant experience in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Practical knowledge of Vendor Payment

- Credit Card Reconciliation experience

- Adeptness in Reconcile Vendor Statements

- JD Edwards experience or large ERP system experience

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- General familiarity with Vendor Contracts

- Vendor Set experience highly preferred

- Demonstrated knowledge of Maintain Vendor Files

- Enter Vendor Invoices experience preferred

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
