Accounts Payable Intern

Job Description


Position summary
The Accounts Payable intern will be responsible for the full cycle accounts payable process including posting external vendor and internal company invoices, processing vendor payments and reconciling the account balances with vendors\' statements. They will be required to respond to internal and external inquiries for outstanding vendor invoices and resolve any disputes or issues on a timely manner.

Duties

  • Post vendor invoices on a daily basis to proper GL accounts; Match invoices to purchase orders when applicable
  • Schedule vendor payments on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Prepare and process company employee expenses.
  • Process inter-company invoices to appropriate GL accounts and reconcile IC balances with other divisions.
  • Generate AP Aging Report, AP Subledger cleanup and analyze the variance with vendor\'s statement.
  • Communicate with vendors on payment status inquiries and resolve any payment disputes.
  • Provide additional support for month end close as needed.
Qualifications
  • Relevant studies in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Proficiency in excel, word, and power point.
  • Quick learner, detailed-oriented, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
