Your Opportunity

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk, to join our existing accounting team in the Export department. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will assist with accounts payables functions and manage vehicle chattel flooring, with potential development as our department grows.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable invoices, including reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
  • Transfer accounts payable charges into shared department database.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure receipt and payment of invoices are done in a timely manner.
  • Complete cheque preparation and bank runs as required.
  • Manage vehicle chattel flooring and process payouts.
  • Filing, electronic filing, scanning, & tracking of documents.
  • Perform other accounting functions, duties and projects as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or related fields in a fast-paced office environment is required.
  • A certificate or diploma in accounting is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Sage would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is considered an asset.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to resolve problems, prioritize actions and excellent personal organization skills.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
