1-year Accounts Payable contract located in North York, Ontario!

Are you an Accounts Payable Clerk with 2-5 years of experience? Do you have strong experience coding invoices and working with multiple cost centers? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. Located in North York, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk is an exciting 1-year contract position that will allow you a flexible hybrid work schedule. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Responsibilities
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Help with internal and external audits as required
- Execute full-cycle Accounts Payable
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- 2-5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role required
- Prior experience using either Great Plains or MS Dynamics highly preferred
- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- General familiarity with EFT Payments
- Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing
- Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices
- Expense reports experience preferred
- Well-founded grasp of month end closings
- Great attention to detail
