Concord Adex is a leading Real Estate Developer with major master-planned community projects in Downtown Toronto and North York. Globally, the Concord Group of Companies has over 150 residential towers in the GTA, Metro Vancouver, Calgary, London (UK), and Seattle (USA).
THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Downtown Toronto team. If you are detailed oriented with excellent communication skills, and you would like to work with a team of dynamic individuals in a fast-paced environment, this is the position for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing a high volume of project-related invoices. This role requires someone that is capable of navigating and managing confidential documents and time-sensitive tasks and responsibilities. Great communications skills are essential as you will be working with a wide variety of people from inside and outside of the Company.


In addition to supporting the Project Accountants, and other members of our Accounting team, as required, the responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to the following:


  • Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with all company policies and procedures;
  • Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices and payments;
  • Reconcile all discrepancies in a timely manner;
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner;
  • Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations;
  • Perform all data entry associated with accounts payable role;
  • Support and assist Project Accountants with ad hoc projects and analysis, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • College degree with speciality in Accounting or Business Administration preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role;
  • Sound knowledge of basic and intermediate accounting principles, along with excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software (Sage);
  • Self-starter attitude with ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (must be able to communicate clearly with staff, vendors, clients and consultants);
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task and meet time sensitive deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Strong analytic abilities;
  • High level of professionalism;
  • Self-motivated and energetic with a positive attitude;

JOB CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME
Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. OR 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. This position may require flexibility, and candidates may be required to work overtime, on weekends and Statutory holidays from time-to-time depending on the organizational needs of the Company .
