Job Description

Robert Half is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Surrey, British Columbia area and will be a long-term contract. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Provide customer service to internal business partners

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

- Assist with internal and external audits as needed

Requirements

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Numeric data entry experience

- QuickBooks experience preferred

- Customer service experience highly desired

- New accounts experience preferred

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- High attention to detail

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
