Job Overview:



The Accounts Payable and Accounting Administrator will be a key member of the finance team working closely with and supporting our accounting department and management team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will focus primarily on accounts payable processes and supporting the accounting daily sales, charity groups and reconciliations for two Calgary and one Red Deer locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Casino Accounts Payable Processing

Receives, organizes, codes, and enters all Casino Accounts Payable for three casinos Manages Canadian and US vendors. Verifies approval on all accounts payable invoices. Ensures backups of invoice and approvals are saved in SharePoint. Sends payment advices to vendors. Works with Controller and Head Office on payments runs. Reconciles statement of accounts. Works with vendors to ensure invoices are to correct corporate entity. Gate keeper for procurement policy.

Employee expense claims:

Receives, reviews, and organizes employee expense claims. Ensures proper approval signatures are attached. Codes and posts in ERP.

Credit cards:

Reconciles, codes, and compiles credit card receipts to support the credit card statement balance and scanning to Sharepoint. Ensures approval for credit card transactions posted. Provides payment to Controller for review and payment in ATB.

Charity Group Coordination:

Sets up quarterly calendar and events with charity groups for three casino location and tracking their dates. Works with Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC) as needed. Saves charity calendar and group information and daily paperwork on SharePoint.

Accounting:

Assist Accounting department with reconciliations and monthly reporting. Look after daily gaming revenue reconciliations as required. Orders office supplies for the office. Understands office procurement policy, ensures supplies requested are purchased at reasonable prices. Works with administration where possible for ordering for pricing and best vendor.

Education and Experience:

3 - 5 years administration and/or accounts payable experience. Full-cycle bookkeeping experience would be an asset. Diploma in accounting or certificate in administration or accounting. Experience with SAP 300 ERP (AccPac) or Acumatica would be an asset. Intermediate experience with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint).

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Sit - Must be able to sit throughout much of the shift. Talk/hear - must be able to detect, determine, identify, observe, inspect, and assess. Works in an indoor, fast-paced environment. Advanced attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure.
